These cupcakes make a great addition to a watch party or even just a Big Bang Theory themed party. The Big Bang cupcakes featured today are cute and are simple to make.
Big Bang Theory Cupcakes
Supplies:
- Cupcake liners – these science-themed liners include decorative picks
- Cupcake baking pan (12 cupcakes)
- Mixing bowls
- Pastry bag – mixed-sized silicone pastry bag makes a great reusable option
- Piping tips – use whatever sized tip you want
Ingredients:
- A cake mix of your choice or your favorite cake recipe and all the necessary ingredients that will make 12 or 24 cupcakes
- A tub of white frosting – this Wilton White ready to use frosting is a great option
- Food coloring in red, green, blue, and yellow
Directions:
Begin by preparing your cupcakes according to the directions on the box or the directions in your recipe. Bake the cupcakes and allow them to cool once they have finished cooking in your oven. While they are cooking, take your white icing and prepare your base icings in red, yellow, green, and blue.
Once the cupcakes are cool, spread a layer of red icing on three cupcakes, a layer of blue icing on three cupcakes, a layer or yellow icing on three cupcakes, and a layer of green icing on three cupcakes. If you decided to make 24 cupcakes, you will want to frost 6 cupcakes in each color.
After that, prepare your piping bags with red, yellow, green, and blue icing (respectively). Then, begin decorating your cupcakes by following the photograph shown above. On your blue based cupcakes you can make yellow rings with red dots as well as a green lightning symbol or a superman symbol.
